About our winery:
Kleinood is a small farm nestled in the Blaauwklippen Valley of Stellenbosch that produces Tamboerskloof Wines and De Boerin Extra Virgin Olive oil. As the name so aptly reflects, this is very much a personal and highly individual project where no viticultural or oenological effort is spared to produce wines of excellence.
Three things to love about us:
Kleinood is a small wine estate, with a strong focus on our flagship wine, the Tamboerskloof Syrah. The wine estate is located in the heart of the Upper Blaauwklippen Valley and also produces, Rose, Viognier, a single vineyard Syrah and an award-winning De Boerin olive oil.
What makes us unique:
There are few wineries, that are able to focus so much on the production of a single quality wine. Due to the size of this picturesque vineyard, we are open by appointment only. This makes cellar tours and tastings a unique and memorable experience.
The Tamboerskloof Syrah has received accolades for various vintages, from 94 points by Neal Martin on eRobertParker.com to Gold medals at international competitions. The Tamboerskloof Katharien Rose, was Jancis Robinson's Best- value fine pink and was awarded top Rose in South Africa in 2015. Our De Boerin EVOO has received a gold medal every year and was rated top 5 in South Africa in 2015.
