About our winery:
An 8th generation family story of vine to wine devoted to responsible handcrafted wine-making. Their consistent efforts in social and environmental responsibility were rewarded in 2012 & 2015 when they received the IWC Fairtrade Trophy. Wines are handcrafted from selected vineyards from the estates owned and managed by the Bosman family in Wellington, Hermon and the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.
Three things to love about us:
1. Vines have been handgrafted by the Bosman family since 1888.
2. The cellar was closed for 50 years and they re-entered the wine industry in 2007.
3. Social and environmental responsibility have always been a priority for the family over generations and they received their Fairtrade accreditation in 2009 after an innovative multi-ownership transaction with their workers in 2008.
What makes us unique:
Heritage: 8 generation of knowledge regarding the vineyard sites they produce wines from.
Innovation: through their vine nursery with more than 47 grape varieties to choose from.
Sustainability: an innovative multi-ownership model with workers and Fairtrade accreditation to ensure continuous re-investment in and respect to man and nature.
