3. Mulderbosch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé, 2016
The Mulderbosch Rosé was one of the very first of its kind from South Africa. At a time when most Rosés were simpy a byproduct of red wine fermentation, Mulderbosch launched a varietal Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé issued from specially farmed vineyards, with the specific intention to produce Rosé fruit. Upon arrival at the cellar, these early picked, specially selected grapes were vinified in the same manner in which an aromatic white wine would be, with the aim of producing a fresh, aromatic style of Rosé.
